3 Quick Instant Pot Meal Ideas
The Instant Pot is the most popular kitchen gadget since the slow cooker. When you need a quick meal you can’t beat the quick efficiency of an instant pot. These three quick meal ideas will help you feed your family quickly so you can move on to everything else you need to do tonight. To speed up the process for your Instant Pot to come to pressure put foods at room temperature or warmer.
Chili
Chili is one of my favorite quick instant pot meals. The Instant Pot can take the job of soaking your beans to make the meal even cheaper or you can skip that step and use canned beans for a dump and go chili. For fast chill, add 3 cans of chili beans, 2 pounds browned ground beef (you can brown this in your Instant Pot), 1 can diced tomatoes and chilies, 1 small diced onion, and 2 packets chili seasoning, and 3 cups of water. Set your Instant Pot for 10 minutes. Allow to naturally release pressure.
Chicken Soup
Chicken soup in the instant pot is a breeze. Toss in 2 pounds boneless cubed chicken, 2 cups carrots, and 2 cups celery, one small diced onion,1 teaspoon Italian seasoning and two cloves of garlic into your instant pot. Fill with 2 quarts chicken broth. Set for 10 minutes. While your Instant Pot cooks your soup cook rice or egg noodles on the stove to serve with your soup.
Taco Rice
Taco rice is another easy and quick dish to make in your Instant Pot. Serve with corn chips and your favorite taco toppings. Brown 1 pound ground beef in your Instant Pot on the saute setting. Add three packets of taco mix, 2 cups rice, and 4 cups water. Push the rice setting on your Instant pot and allow pressure to release naturally. This makes a great taco bar base or easy walking tacos while being frugal using a basic pantry staple to save you while filling a crowd quick and easy.
