Hello, Everyone! This blog post is about the crazy week I just went through with this pregnancy. I hope if you are pregnant that you are having a wonderful pregnancy and if you are having some complications like me or worse, please stay strong and lean on your support system.
It started the day before I hit 33 weeks (Tuesday) I wrote about it in the last post HERE
Pregnancy Scare:
The next day was my 33 week appointment (yes it falls exactly when I hit 33 weeks). I went in to get checked out and for my routine appt. I go once a week due to non-stop morning sickness and the possibility of preterm labor. It was a good thing I kept my appt. The day before I was 0 dilated and this day I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. It happened overnight. They sent me back to labor and delivery. My contractions were 4-6 mins apart. Strong and uncomfortable. I was there until midnight where they transferred me to another hospital. This new hospital can do more and if I happen to have the baby they can handle it.
I was checked from top to bottom, got IV, Antibiotics (which I try to avoid thanks to past C-Diff), Steroid shots and a med to help stop the contractions. I got 2 ultrasounds, contractions monitored plus, lots of good food and drinks (sprite and water). It took them 2 days to stop the contractions enough to let me go home on Friday afternoon. No baby for now, but keeping the med that helps stop contractions for 2 weeks.
Went to my 34 week appt and still measuring well and contractions are still under decent control. I am at 3cm now, but I can stay that way for awhile and 75% effaced.
I now have my hospital bag packed, baby stuff put together and ready to go, basics ready to go such as diapers and wipes. Sadly, there won’t be having a baby shower, so very thankful to family and friends who have helped me.
Finding who can take my toddler while in labor of course is fun. We are pretty sure we have it covered, but fingers crossed.
