Updating Your Countertops
Just because you have a small space, it doesn’t mean you’re counter has to suffer, despite the size. A local company that specializes in some gorgeous countertops for your bathroom and even your kitchen is called Nature Stone and Granite. They have showrooms all around the United States and they are there to help you answer any questions or concerns you have for updating your countertops. Add Fresh Flowers
One of the things I love to add to my bathroom to give it a homey feel is adding fresh flowers! It’s a small gesture that could cost you as little as a few dollars if you grab a few fake ones but personally, I love real ones to give that fresh flower smell! Beautiful arrangements make it cozy and unique so play around with some color ideas too for a fun pop in the bathroom!
Art Work
You wouldn’t think to add some art work into the bathroom but I love putting in some unique pieces that give you something to look at while you may in there a while ha! I like adding pops of color so fun pieces like abstract or even one you have drawn yourself is fun! Make sure to pick out your absolutely favorite pieces because your bathroom may not be small enough to fit everything you want.
Work With It
A bathroom needs to be at the utmost, functional for everyone. Pedestal sinks may be nice to make a tight bathroom seem a bit more spacious but where does all the other items go?! Older bathrooms may not have a towel bar or hook so add a wall hung towel rack above your tile can help keep the space open but provide the storage you are looking for. Sometimes containers can add a bit of fun personality and also give a bit of a distraction to your guests. I like to put a few soap bottles or extra towels and toilet paper in mine!
Update Fixtures
Whatever your statement piece, you can coordinate with some fun fixtures! Sometimes they can a bit expensive so check your local Facebook group or neighbors to see if anyone is giving away fixtures for a cheaper price. I love old pieces personally but you can always find some unique fixtures to spruce up your bathroom and give it some fun character.
Make Your Own Wallpaper/Accent wall
A friend of mine is a huge comic book lover and to give his bathroom a fun makeover, he used old comic book pages and covers to make an accent wallpaper wall in his bathroom! It was so fun reading through all of the pages while admiring the work he put in to make the wall. It didn’t take too much time either and if you already have old comic books, it helps with your budget as well!
