This Keto French Onion Cheeseburger Pie is just what you need for Lunch or Dinner and can easily be made ahead of time and put in the fridge or Freezer to be warmed up later.
Keto French Onion Cheeseburger Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground chicken
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp French onion soup mix
- 1 ½ c Shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 1 c Almond flour
- 1 Beaten egg
- ½ c Sour cream
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 3 tbsp Melted butter
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add in the ground chicken, and cook until completely browned.
- Mix in 2 tbsp of French onion soup mix, and remove from the heat.
- Place the meat mixture into the bottom of a greased pie pan.
- Top the meat mixture with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, egg, sour cream, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder and salt. Beat on high until smooth and creamy.
- Pour in the melted butter, and beat on high again for another minute until well combined.
- Fold in the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and let the batter mixture sit for a few minutes to thicken.
- Spread the batter mixture over the meat and cheese in the pie pan, and create an even layer.
- Bake the cheeseburger pie for 15-20 minutes until the biscuit mixture is browned on top and completely cooked through.
