Start by selling to people you know. I have seen people do massive book cleanouts on their facebook profile selling dozens of books making extra money and clearing space on their shelves for books they love.
List Books on Ebay if worth Money
Be sure to check the value of books you are selling. You may have a gem or two sitting on your shelves. List any valuable books on eBay where they are likely to find a buyer willing to pay closer to their value than other locations.
Check Used Books Stores
Check if your local used bookstore buys books from private sellers. These stores are becoming increasingly less common but if you are blessed with one nearby they can be a great place to sell your old books.
Check Amazon
Check what Amazon will give you for selling your books. If you shop at Amazon often for essentials you can value from the Amazon gift cards they offer in exchange for some used books. This is a great way to sell your used books without any extra work for you. Shipping both ways is free.
College Buy Back
If it is college books you are looking to get rid of, check to see if your school has a buy, sell trade page for books. More and more schools have these facebook groups that help students save money on expensive textbooks.
Buy/Sell/Trade on Facebook
Try local buy sell trade apps or groups on Facebook are a great way to sell old things you no longer want or need. For most books, you can make the best sales try selling your books in bundles.
